Overview

Insight Integration for HP OpenView Network Node Manager (v 3.3)

Insight Integration for HP OpenView NNM, version 3.3, integrates detailed hardware management data and event notifications for HP ProLiant, AlphaServer Integrity Superdome servers, HP storage, and HP clients into the OpenView NNM management console. It enables system administrators to maximize existing IT investments and simplify operation by managing systems hardware platforms and network resource availability from a common OpenView NNM console.

This Insight Integration module allows HP systems to be clearly identified and monitored on the NNM Management Map. It provides pre-defined event definitions to translate and display over 400 HP SNMP events through the NNM Event Console. It builds on the functionality of the Insight Management Agents and works with native OpenView services to provide the most manageable platform for OpenView NNM across a wide range of host and managed operating platforms.

Supported operating platforms for host and managed systems include HP-UX, Solaris, Windows, NetWare, Linux, HP Tru64 UNIX®, and HP OpenVMS.

For broad lifecycle management of the hardware infrastructure, Insight Integration for HP OpenView NNM includes extended menu options for in-depth hardware performance and availability data, and embedded links to the HP System Management Homepage, HP Systems Insight Manager and Integrated Lights-Out management.
