Introduction
The Compaq PC Card Smart Card Reader tightens security for the internet age and provides a key building block for enterprise security. It allows users to conduct secured transactions, while reducing costs associated with managing corporate networks. This is achieved through a flexible design, which is based on industry standards.

Performance

The Compaq PC Card Smart Card Reader provides enhanced security of systems and information through smart-card login features. The use of digital signatures and digital certificates enables secure eCommerce transactions over both public and private networks. The PC Card Smart Card Reader can be combined with a Compaq Biometric PC Card Reader to further increase the level of security.
