HP 5642 rack is a 42U rack that ships unassembled and boxed on a standard size pallet. The HP 5642 rack is an industry standard 19" wide rack with 1000 mm depth and standard square holes on the RETMA rails. It ships standard with side panels and rear doors but does not ship with the front door* or casters. The static load capacity, or the maximum load of the rack when deployed, is 1500 lbs (680 kg). The HP 5642 is easy to assemble and one or two people are able to assemble the rack in one hour or less.
The HP 5642 is a rack targeted for those companies that are looking for an entry level rack with sufficient features for easy access and ease of use. When assembled, the HP 5642 has the same space capacity as the more expensive 42U racks providing great value for the customers IT investment.
Available options for the HP 5642 rack are the Rack Stabilizing kit and the Rack Baying kit.
