HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007

 
The HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager integrate event monitoring and alert processing for HP ProLiant server and BladeSystems into System Center Operations Manager.  These HP management packs are also tested with Microsoft System Center Essentials to support HP’s mid-market customers.  
HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs build upon the core elements of HP Insight Management Agents and the HP Onboard Adminstrator to complement and extend System Center and to maximize existing IT investments. HP customers who implement System Center Operations Manager or Essentials for event and performance monitoring can use the HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs to help streamline IT administration and increase systems availability by viewing events for Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows applications, and HP hardware through a common System Center  interface.
The HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs include an extensive collection of predefined rules and scripts that automatically identify HP ProLiant servers and BladeSystems and provide alert notifications to potential problems through the System Center Operations Manager or Essentials console interface. Comprehensive knowledgebase data provided with these HP Management Packs aid in problem analysis and time-to-resolution. HP hardware alerts in System Center also include an embedded browser launch to the HP System Management Homepage which displays a consolidated view of single system status and configuration based on data collected by the Insight Management Agents.   Additional links are provided to HP tools such as  HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM), Onboard Administrator, and integrated Lights Out (iLO).

Standard Features
Protocols Supported The HP ProLiant Server and BladeSystem Management Packs for System Center Operations Manager provide monitoring and rules-based processing for events that are written to the Windows Event Log by HP Insight Management Agents and those reported through the HP Onboard Administrator.
Agent Requirements

The HP ProLiant Server management pack support servers starting with the ProLiant Server Pack (PSP) 7.5 and through PSP 8.0.

The HP BladeSystem management pack supports HP C-class BladeSystems starting with HP’s Onboard Administrator (OA) 2.04 through 2.15.

All HP ProLiant servers that implement supported HP ProLiant Server Packs.
