The HP ProLiant DL980 G7 continues to maintain its world record with an overall 8-processor result for x86 servers on the SPEC CPU2006 benchmark. Comparing other 8-processors with Intel Xeon E7 family, 10-core, the ProLiant DL980 G7 server outperformed the competition. The HP ProLiant DL980 G7 has achieved the #1 overall Windows eight-processor result on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) standard application benchmark with SAP enhancement package 4 for the SAP ERP application 6.0. With 18,635 SAP SD benchmark users and 101,720 SAPS, this result outperforms similarly configured NEC Express5800 and Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST 1800E (see Figure 1 below and Appendix A for comparison minimum data).

In April 2009, the HP ProLiant DL785 G5 achieved #1 8-processor energy efficient performance on the SPECpower_ssj2008 benchmark with a score of 927 overall ssj_ops/watt running a Microsoft Windows operating system, and the #1 overall Linux® result with a score of 905 overall ssj_ops/watt.
