1 After the installation of the x86 version of the Operating System on a DL580 G5 with greater than 8 processor cores the kernel parameter "maxcpus=8" is required. Use SLES9 SP3 (AMD64/EM64T) or SLES 9 SP4 to enable all processor cores.
