The provided Server Deployment Toolbox jobs can be used on ProLiant DL100 series servers if the following are
set in the ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU) for each target server:
| |
NIC first in the boot order |
| |
For deployments to a DL165 G5p
| |
To deploy Windows 2003 Server, set Advanced > Serial ATA to PATA. |
| |
To deploy Linux, set to SATA. |
|
| |
For deployments to a DL145 G3 or DL165 G5 using Release 3.70 and earlier, based on older WinPE version
| |
To deploy Windows, set Advanced > Serial ATA to PATA. |
| |
To deploy Linux, set to SATA. |
|
| |
For deployments to a DL140 G3
| |
To deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 for AMD64 and Intel EM64T or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 for AMD64 and Intel EM64T, disable
Advanced > 8042 Emulation Support. |

IMPORTANT: ProLiant Support Pack does not support ProLiant DL100 series servers.
If the Linux ProLiant Support Pack 8.00 or earlier is installed, then the Altiris Deployment Agent for
Linux (adlagent) may hang when it tries to shutdown the production operating system
to begin the job.
