A Target Server's Job List As Shown In The Details Pane Is Missing After Upgrading Or Reinstalling Rapid Deployment Pack

Article: 169

Applies to: Release 2.00 or greater

This occurs if the jobs that are imported during the Integration Module upgrade have the same job name as an existing job. The new jobs are imported into the Altiris database overwriting the existing job and creating a new job id. The server's job deployment history becomes invalid because the job id has changed. The automatic redeployment feature such as HP BladeSystem Server rip-and-replace will no longer work.

NOTE: The server's history of deployment tasks is still valid by right-clicking on the target server and selecting History.

To work around this issue, rename existing jobs before upgrading or reinstalling the Rapid Deployment Pack.
