Integrity Server Deployment Support

For Windows Server 2008 IA64, Integrity BL servers must be configured in RAID 1 mode. The BL870c can only have two or four drives present during installation.

For Windows Server 2008 IA64, Integrity Mid-Range and High-End server prerequisites:

The default PXE boot option must be set to "WinPE Managed".
For the Deploy Windows 2008 IA64 Enterprise scripted install job and the Deploy Windows 2008 IA64 Sysprep Image job
The target server must be a new, bare-metal server with ACPI mode = windows that just appeared in the Deployment Console, or
The target server must have a blank hard drive, have ACPI mode = windows, be removed from the Deployment Console, and then cold-booted into an Altiris automation environment.

It is recommended to install Microsoft Hot Fixes, Security Patches that are available on HP Smart Update DVD. For more details, refer to http://hp.com/support/itaniumservers, then select the server model > Download drivers and software > Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Itanium > Operating Systems - Enhancements and QFE.

For Mid-Range and High-End servers, iLO power control commands are not available.
