Components are all tested together as a solution stack and are bundled into a single download. The bundle includes firmware, drivers, utilities, agents, and tools for ProLiant servers, enclosures and options plus HP SUM.

» HP Smart Update Manager
(HP SUM)
HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) is an intelligent firmware and software deployment tool for ProLiant servers, select Integrity servers, and BladeSystem enclosures. It provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and a command-line, scriptable interface for deployment to a local server or one-to-many remote servers.

Capabilities include:
  • Only applies needed updates
  • Online update support of most server and enclosure components
  • Improves scalability to update more servers in a given maintenance window
