'More' is not always better because when moving from older PCI-X based technology to newer PCI Express technology, there are enough architecture improvements in the PCIe MAC that reduce the need for a larger FIFO buffer space.

- Intelligent Networking Pack - optional software package allowing ProLiant servers to intelligently change the network path to achieve maximum reliability and performance and also reduce virus threats before they spread to the entire network.
It also is supported by the Network Configuration Utility (NCU) that allows it to work in multi-vendor, heterogeneous network teams.

The NC110T carries a standard ProLiant option warranty maximum of the remaining warranty of the HP product in which it is installed (to a maximum three-year, limited warranty). The minimum is a one-year limited warranty.
