The NC360T features two ports on a single adapter, is based upon the high performance Intel 82571EB chipset, and offers a 4 lane (x4) PCI Express bus based on the PCIe v1.0a standard. Customers who have ProLiant servers with PCI Express slots will be able to save valuable I/O slots for other purposes because the NC360T promotes flexibility since it contains brackets for both full height and half height (low profile) PCIe slots. It readily complements (and eventually replaces) the NC7170 PCI-X Dual Port Server Adapter as ProLiant servers become increasingly PCI Express. Other key features are:
- Gigabit data paths make it ideal for ProLiant servers requiring dual port bandwidth
- Auto-negotiating 10/100/1000Mbps capability enables the NC360T to be used in Ethernet or Fast Ethernet legacy twisted pair wiring environments and preserves investment in switch infrastructure
- Dual ports address server slot constraints, port density requirements and the need for network expansion
