 Overview

The HP StorageWorks 2000 Modular Smart Array Cluster Solution is an easy to install highly available cluster solution which combines the power and reliability of the ProLiant DL380 G5 server with the high performance and scalability of the MSA2000sa storage system. This combination provides unsurpassed availability to your data. It will support up to 4-node single path or 2-node redundant path clustering, providing excellent failover for increased uptime. With the redundancy built-in the new ProLiant Servers and HP MSA2000sa, the Cluster Solution increases reliability and eliminates downtime. HP can provide all hardware components to build your own cluster solution.

The HP StorageWorks 2000sa Modular Smart Array offers the very latest in efficient consolidation, functionality and technology at very affordable prices. The MSA2000fc features a high-performance 3Gb direct attach, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) connected array, that brings all the benefits of shared storage to ProLiant customers, while lowering the cost and eliminating the complexity of shared storage in small to medium size deployments or remote offices. The performance and scalability of the MSA2000sa allow customers to grow their storage as demands increase. The cluster solution supports Microsoft Windows® Server 2008, 2003, Linux and VMware operating systems for standard and clustered configurations

  • The need to eliminate failures in server solutions by having redundant components, fail-over and on-line back-up capability.
  • Service and maintenance are key areas of high cost after failovers occur.
Distributed Environment
  • Customers run critical applications in an active-active environment across the cluster.
  • Common applications such as messaging, database and file & print are common in a distributed environment.
  • The MSA2000sa Cluster Solution is the easiest and fastest to deploy cluster solution
  • Server nodes can work independently or supporting each other during a failed condition of the clustered server
