Monitoring and protection

  • Virus throttle detects and slows the rate at which a virus attack spreads inside the core of the infrastructure
  • Monitors all outbound connection requests for abnormal behavior and throttles the traffic to limit the virus' ability to spread
  • Gives time to IT administrators to react to fast spreading viruses

Non-traditional approach to virus protection

  • Unlike the traditional approach of relying on virus signatures, virus throttle takes a non-traditional method. It does not rely on knowing anything about the virus thus effective at protecting against new viruses
