HP Smart Array Advanced Pack (SAAP) delivers value added software features with the Smart Array Controller, which will further enhance performance, reliability, and availability of customer data. These features will be delivered to the customer via a license key which enables the functionality on the Smart Array Controller Hardware. These licensed features provides an easy key activation to enable features such as added RAID protection with RAID 6 (Advanced Data Guarding) & 60 providing advanced drive/data protection. Other features include more secure methodology to erase drives offering more security, performance improvements for video streaming among other advancements.
HP Smart Array Advanced Pack 2.0 (SAAP 2.0) not only includes the features of SAAP 1.0 but also adds RAID 1 and RAID 10 ADM (Advanced Data Mirroring) and the capability to move/delete individual LUNs SAAP 2.0 is intended for HP Smart Array P220i, P222, P420i, P420, and P421.
