Most HP server models can be installed in 19-inch EIA standard 4-post racks that do not have threaded holes. Newer servers come with rackmount kits that can be used with many types of racks. Some server models will require a spacer kit, product number J1516A. Spacers are needed for rackmount kits that attach to the inside surface of the rack columns. If the rackmount kit attaches to the front face of the rack column, the spacer will not be needed. |

Many HP servers can be mounted in two-post telco-style racks using the standard hardware provided. In some cases, an additional 2-post slide-mount adapter will be required, product number J1480A.
Some rack vendors also have adapter kits available for mounting HP servers. Check with your rack vendor for more information.
