The HP Rack System/E is a full-featured, advanced rack for the most demanding rackmount requirements today and in the future.
The clean, contemporary look of HP Rack System/E showcases your computers and peripherals. Designed for flexibility, the HP Rack System/E base rack and accessories can be configured to adapt to a broad range of requirements.
Adaptable
Two sizes-41U and 33U-offer a range of rackmount capacity. Racks can stand alone or be attached together in a multi-rack unit. Doors can be mounted to open to the left or right.
Ventilation
The HP Rack System/E allows air to flow freely, letting your equipment breathe. The top is fully ventilated, and perforated doors provide 63% opening. An extractor fan is not required, except when servers or storage is mounted back-to-back.
Strength
HP Rack System/E handles your heaviest equipment. The 12-gauge columns and reinforced base support up to 907kg (2000 lb) of equipment in the rack. EIA mounting units are numbered on the columns, making it easy to correctly position rackmount rails, slides, and shelves.
Mobility
HP Rack System/E carries your equipment where it's needed. At your site, it rolls easily on polyurethane wheels that dampen the effect of bumps, jolts, and uneven floors. Even the tallest rack, 41U, can fit through most doorways, worldwide. Rack System/E can even be shipped with computing equipment fully-integrated. Note that during shipment, the total weight of the rack and all the equipment mounted in it can weigh up to 816kg (1800lb).
Ease of use
Cosmetic front filler panels and side panels snap on and off without tools. When it's necessary to remove them, doors lift off easily. (Doors cannot be removed when closed, so security is not compromised.)
Stability
The HP Rack System/E comes with two bolt-on anti-tip feet, one for the back and one for the front. The feet provide anti-tip protection while servicing slide-mounted devices.
