Overview

The Ultra320 I/O Modules allow the StorageWorks 4200 or 4300 Enclosure to be upgraded to Ultra320 performance in less then five minutes. The ease of upgrading to Ultra320 proves to our customers that the StorageWorks 4200 and 4300 Enclosures provide the lowest cost of ownership in the market. In addition to upgradability, the Ultra2/Ultra3/Ultra320 mix and match compatibility of the StorageWorks Enclosures proves that technology transitions to the next generation SCSI protocol can be simple and smooth without disrupting critical business environments.

The upgrade kit also ships with an Environmental Monitoring Unit (EMU). Upgrading this EMU is required with the upgrade to the U320 I/O Module in order for enclosure to operate properly at U320 interface speeds.
