| Q1: |
Is upgrading the Environmental Monitoring Unit (EMU) required? |
| A1: |
Yes. In order for the enclosure to operate properly at Ultra320 interface speeds, the EMU must also be upgraded. The EMU is hot-swappable and is provided with each Module Upgrade Kit. |

| Q2: |
Will upgrading the I/O module on the enclosure cause the system to operate at U320 interface speeds? |
| A2: |
No. You must upgrade the EMU and the enclosure must be connected to a qualified Ultra320 Smart Array Controller or Ultra320 Host Bus Adapter. The hard disk drives must also be Ultra320 as well. |
