HP UPSs are high power solutions designed for customers who want to provide power protection in both tower and rack environments. For applications requiring extended battery backup times, optional Extended Runtime Modules (ERMs) are available for most rack mountable HP UPSs which can extend backup times from minutes to hours, depending on the load and model used. The HP UPSs that are ERM capable are R/T3000, R5000, R7000, R8000/3, R12000/3 and the RP36000/3.
