With only a 6U form factor, the R12000/3 provides more power protection per U (2 kilowatts) than any other UPS offered by HP. This allows you the most power back up, as well as leaving you with more rack space for your servers, storage and networking equipment. On-line On Demand technology provide maximum efficiency. |

What is On-line On Demand technology? |

HP 3 Phase Uninterruptible Power Systems operate in line interactive mode during general use to maximize efficiency and minimize heat output. If input voltage fluctuates outside of the established range, such as if a generator comes on line, the UPS switches to double conversion on-line more to provide the cleanest power possible. This hybrid technology provides 97% efficiency in standard mode, even with out put loads as low as 40% of maximum. |

How do I manage the HP 3 Phase Uninterruptible Power Systems? |

HP provides free management software for all our UPSs. HP Power Manager software can be downloaded here. From this site, click on the software link at the bottom of the page.
You may also add the optional UPS Management Module which provides additional functionality such as out of band communications with up to 5 attached servers and UPS clustering for redundancy.

Which Power Distribution Units (PDUs) are compatible with the HP 3 phase UPS? |

HP recommends the HP Monitored PDUs, part number AF503A and AF504A for North America and AF507A and AF508A for international models. The HP 3 Phase Modular PDU (core only) can also be used. The 3 Phase Modular PDU part numbers are AF512A for North America and AF513A for international use. |
