The high performance HP Keyboard Video Monitor (KVM) IP Consoling Solution offers more flexibility for IT administrators to manage data centers of all sizes through local or LAN/WAN access at speeds comparable to direct console control.

High speed graphical performance provides management flexibility and reduces IT administrator requirements

Access different types of servers and different operating systems from one console. The HP IP consoling solution using two interface methods for accessing servers. At the local console, there is an On-Screen Display (OSD) interface, which has intuitive menus for accessing each attached computer. Servers can be identified by a user-defined name, a pre-defined ID number located on each interface adapter or sequentially by switch port number.

The IP console viewer software enables users to access servers over the network. This is a java applet that runs Windows® and Linux® consoles. Features of the IP console viewer software include:

increased scalability over browser-based viewers
multiple security levels
operates across firewalls and VPNs
no software to install on attached servers
secure SSL data transfer across network (128-bit encryption)
customize server information (location, site, names)
view by switch, servers or sites
sort on multiple fields
