Performance

Whether you are looking for a low end solution or high end enterprise solution, serial technology allows you to choose performance that suits your business needs
  • FF 15K SAS drives: highest performance drives for enterprise mission critical environments.
  • SFF 10K and 3.5" 15K SAS drives: largest capacity and high performance drives for mission critical environments
  • SFF and 3.5" SATA drives: provides best budget performance for lower workload environments

Flexibility

A single storage system meets a demanding range of price, performance, and availability requirements while maintaining enough flexibility to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Systems are capably of supporting both SATA and SAS drives on a single SAS backplane. As storage requirements change, customers can easily transition between technologies without upgrading their entire infrastructure.
  • Flexibility of choosing either SAS or SATA in a single system decreases the cost purchasing and supporting multiple applications
    • SAS drives are ideal for high performance, high reliability, and mission critical environments.
    • SATA drives are ideal for non-mission critical, low workload environments where getting the lowest cost per GB solution is important.

Scalability

Serial technology provides point-to-point architecture providing end-to-end scalable server and storage solutions.
  • Point-to-point connectivity allows for dedicated disk connections enabling additional devices to be added without sacrificing throughput.
  • Ability to add more devices allows you to add more spindles for increased performance or greater capacity.
