Reliability and peace of mind

SAS Midline and SAS Enterprise drives provide the highest reliability within the hard drive portfolio. HP's rigorous attention provides you with the peace of mind you need.
  • Prior to release into production, HP's reliability demonstration testing process ensures that drives perform to specified reliability standards
  • Throughout the lifecycle of a drive, HP periodically monitors the quality of outgoing stock. If outgoing drives perform outside specified reliability parameters, HP will cover demand through equivalent products from other suppliers
  • If reliability concerns occur at a customer site, HP's formal escalation process will drive timely closure of the issue

Tested integration in your IT environment

HP drives undergo an intense qualification process that eliminates data integrity problems, firmware and O/S incompatibilities and other causes of data corruption or premature failure. All drive firmware is specific to our drives and is designed to maximize both functionality and compatibility. All drives are proven to perform in the HP systems for which they were designed.

Investment protection while you grow

HP provides customers with the flexibility to expand their environments while protecting past investments through a broad portfolio of compatible offerings.
  • HP's universal drive strategy means drives are compatible with past generations. This allows you to leverage your current drives as your storage needs grow
  • SAS gives you the flexibility to install other SAS or SATA drives or a combination of both in the same enclosure

Breadth of portfolio for all kinds of environments

Many customers have a variety of IT environments. HP'S portfolio of SAS drives contains various kinds of drives to fit the multitude of needs that exist in your organization.
  • In addition to single port drives, dual port SAS drives are offered for customers requiring a redundant data path to their disk drive for greater fault tolerance and data availability
  • SAS Midline drives are a moderately priced solution for customers requiring high capacity drives for low I/O (<40%) environments, such as disk backup, archival, or reference applications
  • If you require maximum reliability and performance, SAS Enterprise will provide you with a state of the art design for mission-critical, near 100% I/O applications, such as, large databases, email, ERP, and CRM
  • 15K RPM SAS Enterprise drives will give you the horsepower you need to run your near 24X7, high I/O applications with confidence
