HP Common Slot (CS) Power Supplies share a common electrical and physical design that allows for tool-less installation into HP server, storage, and infrastructure platforms that have a CS power supply bay. The HP portfolio of CS power supplies offer high-efficiency power options in 3 outputs: 460W, 750W, and 1200W. This flexibility allows users to “right-size” a power supply for specific server configurations, resulting in reduced power waste, increased energy savings, and the avoidance of trapped power capacity in the data center.
While HP offers CS power supplies with different efficiency ratings (as certified by 80PLUS/EPRI), HP’s Platinum CS power supplies are rated the most efficient in the IT industry with a power efficiency of at least 94%. Additionally, HP offers multiple system collaboration tools for ProLiant servers including, Dynamic Power Capping and Load-Balancing/High-Efficiency Mode, which help the user to further manage power efficiency and usage in the data center.
