Q1. Where is my Product Identification Key (PID) and what do I do with it?
A1. The Product Identification Key or PID is located on your Certificate of Authenticity (COA) if you bought an OEM version of the OS. A generic OEM PID was used to pre-install the OS. The PID on the COA is needed if you need to re-install the OS in the future.

If you purchased your OS through the Microsoft Open License Program (MOLP), the license key code is on the jewel case of the WorldwideFulfillment CD that is drop shipped direct from Microsoft.

Q2. Where is the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) located on my server?
A2. For most systems, the COA is locate on top of the server in the left rear corner. This may not be the case for all systems. A5. On the Start menu, click Programs (expand All Programs in Windows Server 2003)| Compaq System Tools | Compaq Array Configuration Utility XE. Keep in mind altering the original logical drive on the array controller could cause loss of all data on the current partition.

Q6. How do I change my Administrator password?
A6. For Windows Server 2003, on the Start menu right click on My Computer, then click Manage. This will bring up the Management Console from which numerous items can be altered. A15. No. Do not click reboot during the initial installation process. Rebooting during the installation could cause some drivers to not load properly.

Q16. Why are the Foundation, NIC and Server Management agents installed?
A16. The Foundation, NIC and Server Agents work together to monitor the overall health of the system. Error, warning and alert messages are logged to the system log. The logs can be very useful in determining what caused the system or application to fail.
