| Q2. |
How are ProLiant servers selected for Windows 2000 support? |
| A2. |
This final list of servers were determined by a number of factors such as Microsoft lifecycle schedule for the OS, new technologies with new servers not supported by Windows 2000, and with the most noteable factor that Microsoft stopped accepting certifications and logo submissions for server products in June 2006. Even though Windows 2000 may work on ProLiant servers that are not officially supported, a non-logo'd ProLiant server is not recognized by Microsoft as Windows 2000 compatible. This implies non or very limited support by Microsoft.
