Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V, the next-generation hypervisor-based server virtualization technology, is now available for download from the Microsoft Virtualization website. Hyper-V operates under Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter Editions. Hyper-V is not available for Web Server. Hyper-V runs only on Windows Server builds for x64 processors with hardware virtualization support, such as AMD-V or Intel VT processors.
