For over 10 years HP has worked with Sun to support and certify Solaris on ProLiant servers. HP has many experienced engineers dedicated to the testing, qualification, and certification of current and future releases of the Solaris operating systems on ProLiant servers.
HP receives weekly builds of future Solaris releases and HP and Sun engineering hold weekly meetings to discuss testing, qualification, and certification issues. In addition, Sun shares the Solaris roadmap with HP and gathers input and feedback on future releases.
Through HP and Sun's strong engineering partnership HP has added a wide range of ProLiant server management features such as Insight Management Agents, Health Drivers, iLO support, and System Insight Management Home Page. These management features monitor server health and server configuration information providing in-depth hardware management across a heterogeneous OS environment.
