VMware from HP also bundles Insight Control management software (ICE) + Server Migration Pack (SMP Universal) with select VMware software products to provide central management and control of your virtual and physical machines. Insight Control provides system health, remote control, vulnerability scanning and patch management as well as flexible deployment and power management in one easy to install package. SMP Universal licenses bundled with VMware provides automated physical to virtual (P2V) and virtual to virtual (V2V) migrations.
VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 products support both ESX 2.5.x and ESX 3. Customers have an opportunity to select the ESX version of their choice during the activation and download process.

HP Customer Support will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to the end customer. While HP will retain customer contact, VMware will provide support on any issues that require access to VMware source code or product changes. HP Services has a 2 hour guaranteed response time for all VMware technical support calls and there is no distinction of issue severity in determining the call back timing. All coverage is based on local time zone.
