Overview
An HP Vitualization Assessment will:
- Assess your current IT infrastructure
- Deliver a plan to optimize IT resources
- Minimize risk of infrastructure changes
- Develop cost justification for consolidation
- Be delivered by HP Services professionals or selected HP reseller partners
- Leverage HP best practices and tools
In a typical scenario, data from HP or third party servers, storage, and desktops is collected at the customer's site over a three- to four-week period and analyzed for application utilization and peak utilization rates. The results are compared with five year's worth of historical data from a VMware Capacity Planner data warehouse. HP Services professionals then make recommendations on how to best optimize the IT and provide customers with a cost justification and sound business rationale for virtualization or consolidation.
