HP StorageWorks Partners & Alliances

At HP, Microsoft Windows feature support is designed into HP StorageWorks products early in the development process. Windows development and testing begins with Microsoft StorPort Fibre Channel HBA drivers for all HP StorageWorks products. Next, we layer in Microsoft MPIO and HP SecurePath multipathing software to create and test dual redundant paths to our storage arrays. High Availability is designed in from the beginning. Even if you don't need it right away, it's nice to know that complete Microsoft certified multipathing software is ready and waiting at a moments notice.

And every HP StorageWorks product is Microsoft Certified. Signed Fibre Channel drivers and fully logo'd storage software is just the beginning. HP runs the full suite of Microsoft Hardware Compatibility Tests (HCT) to deliver RAID System and MulitCluster device Windows Catalog listing, and Cluster, GeoCluster and DataCenter solutions listing.

In addition, in July of 2003 HP signed an Enterprise Qualification Program (EQP) agreement with Microsoft's that streamlines the process for qualifying HP Cluster Solutions. Customers are allowed greater configuration flexibility by combining HP servers and storage, software, HBAs and switches to build a solution that precisely meets their needs.

From the HP Cluster Configuration website you can browse and select the desired Windows operating system and associated HP StorageWorks products. All HP StorageWorks products are linked to individual support matrices. Just click on the link to view the HP Cluster Solution details and select the configuration of HP servers, software, HBAs and switches that meets your needs.

Emulex and Qlogic have made a strategic investment in HP StorageWorks products and solutions creating an IT test and qualification environment that is designed with HP storage. So, as new Fibre Channel drivers are being developed HP storage and solutions are tested "real-time" allowing HP, Emulex and Qlogic to tremendously reduce the turnaround time for new driver support.

In addition, HP completes full qualification and solutions testing "in-house" using Emulex and Qlogic HBAs and drivers with our entire StorageWorks portfolio, and of course with HP ProLiant and HP Integrity Servers.

Like Emulex and Qlogic, Brocade, and Cisco have also made strategic investments in HP StorageWorks products and solutions by creating an IT test and qualification environment that is designed with HP storage. So, as new switches are being developed HP storage and solutions are also tested "real-time" allowing HP and Brocade, and HP and Cisco to tremendously reduce the turnaround time for new switch support.

We also complete full qualification and solutions testing "in-house" using Brocade, and Cisco switches with our entire StorageWorks portfolio, and of course again with HP ProLiant and HP Integrity Servers.

In addition, we work directly with Oracle, SAP, Veritas and others. Many software vendors have integrated HP StorageWorks products into their IT test and development environments. And, as partners, HP works closely with these vendors to ensure our storage and servers work seamlessly.
